With extensive coaching experience and a passion for student-athlete success, Norris will lead the college’s newly established women’s flag football program, set to begin competition in fall 2025.

LBW Community College announces the retirement of Coach Ricky Knight, who has dedicated 40 years of service as the head coach of the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Coach Knight will be recognized for his distinguished career prior to the final home game of the season on Feb. 17, 2025, at the Seth Hammett Gymnasium, as he prepares for retirement following the conclusion of the season.

"We always say championships are not won in January or February, but the road to win a championship is paved in those months. In baseball, it is vital to be playing the best you can going in to the tournament."

The Alabama Community College Conference announced its Fall 2024 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll with 67 LBW Saints represented on the list.

"We have a great spring schedule, and my expectations are for us to really make a move and be in contention for a conference title and possibly a birth into the national championship."

LBW Community College is excited to announce the launch of a Women’s Flag Football program beginning in Fall 2025, making it one of the first institutions in Alabama to embrace this emerging sport under the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
