Head Golf Coach

Bio

Coach McLendon is in his third season leading the LBW golf program. McLendon has over 21 years of coaching experience at the college, high school, and middle school levels.  His coaching career began as a student assistant, and later a graduate assistant, for the golf program at Troy University. After graduating, he began his K12 teaching career while also serving as the middle school basketball coach for several years at Greenville Middle School.  McLendon later moved on to become the head football coach at both McKenzie and Greenville High Schools before joining LBW.

After playing golf for three years at Jacksonville State University, Josh earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in History, with a minor in Psychology from Troy University.  Josh and his wife LeAnn have four children, Sam (17), Ann Knox (14), Mary Lee (11), and Rosemarry (8). During his spare time, Coach McLendon enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, watching football, and teaching Sunday School at First Baptist Church in Greenville. He also serves as the President of the Greenville Country Club.
